Tianwei offers a glimpse of Taiwan, and beyond it, a glimpse of the world.
Since the Ice Age, this island has preserved one of the richest ecological treasures on the planet. Taiwan's native plants are not only vital to the island's ecosystem but also hold untapped potential for design inspirations. Home to the nation's largest horticultural community and world-class expertise in breeding and propagation, Tianwei is the hub of Taiwan's plant trade. In collaboration with local businesses, we have created plant spaces that combine exhibition, education, and commercial value and opened up new possibilities for Tianwei—as a brand. The exhibition connects twenty botanical showcases, featuring both landscapes crafted by Shu Yuan Wu and the masterful works of seasoned local landscape designers. Together, they bring the beauty and strength of Taiwan's plant aesthetics to the world.

Motif Planning & Design Consultants is a professional landscape planning and design firm. Guided by the concept of Landscape Urbanism, the company reflects on traditional approaches to urban design, exploring the transformation of urban fabric, landscapes, and their associated components, while seeking opportunities and possibilities for the future development of landscapes. The name “Tai-Yan (太研)” carries layered meaning: “Tai” (太) derives from the founder’s first workplace in Taichung, with a simple form and personal significance; “Yan” (研) refers to the research-based training acquired in the UK, symbolizing that design must be rooted in research to enable practical implementation and provide the most appropriate spatial solutions. The English name “Motif” conveys “motive,” underscoring the importance of continually reflecting on intention and purpose throughout design and practice.
Bank of Culture has long been dedicated to cultivating Taiwan’s traditional culture, documenting over 160 local cultural cases to date, and continuing to work with historians and cultural practitioners across the island to promote cultural sustainability. With expertise in translating complex cultural issues into engaging content, the team leverages creativity and design to present tradition in a fresh light—bringing it into the public eye and inspiring deeper resonance. They have participated in projects such as the Taiwan Cultural Expo, the Taiwan Design Expo, and Taipei City’s initiatives on accessibility and readability for the visually impaired. Their work has been recognized with international and domestic honors, including the Red Dot Design Award, iF Design Award, Golden Pin Design Award, and the Good Design Award (Japan)—testament to their mission of energizing culture through design.
