Hsu, Tsang-tseh’s artistic style is grounded in natural realism, with people at its core—faithfully reflecting the humanistic spirit of different eras, from clothing and expressions to the transformation of streetscapes. Over the past half-century, he has accumulated more than ten thousand rolls of film, preserving a rich visual archive of Lukang. This exhibition presents a curated selection of his street photography and family portraits, brought to life through interactive light-projection mapping that invites audiences to step into a corridor of time. A special motion-sensing photo booth allows visitors to capture their own images, which are then projected in real time onto the original screen once used by Hsu to share his works with family and friends—creating a dialogue across history and generations.
Beyond photographs, Hsu also collected over 800 cameras, including more than 100 classic Leica models. The exhibition features posters from his camera catalog collection and highlights four cameras of special significance. Using RFID technology, visitors can place a model camera onto a sensor to unlock the story behind it, immersing themselves in Hsu’s world where memory and light intertwine.
