Path of Pîng-an

((( Pîng-an )))

Description

In Changhua, the community collectively safeguards a desire for peace. From the offerings on family altars to the festive rituals by the riverside, people, nature, faith, and lifestyles are woven together by the seasons and festivals in Changhua.

The exhibition's route unfolds with the seasonal festivities and guides visitors into the heart of local belief, from individual homes to village worship sites, revealing how each folk object carries the region's blessings and memories.

At the journey's end, we have installed the "Cabinet of Pîng-an," a symbol of prayer and protection, as well as "Questions from the Gourd of Pîng-an," an interactive game blending childlike fun with the essence of blessings. With them, we invite visitors to take a quiet step toward the inner peace they seek.

May the blessing from this land quietly flow on and on, accompanying every person on this mountainous island surrounded by the swaying ocean, as they continue to look after one another in their daily lives.
